I'm going to be adding to each of these Hidden Fangs blog posts overtime as I develop the story and characters more, like Wiki articles. So sign up for the newsletter at the bottom of the page in order to be notified of significant updates!
Hidden Fangs is my baby. I mean, all of my novels are, but I suppose you could say this one's my firstborn.
I never want to directly say what my books are trying to say, but if you know anything about the things I've been through and my philosophies then you might have a good idea.
It's set in the late 2300s in a post-apocalyptic world where 300 years ago, humanity had just barely managed to win a war against a then newly discovered subterranean species they called The Netherbreed, who lived and thrived near the earth's core. In order to outlive the war, humanity built massive dome city structures of an indestructible material they discovered underground called 'atronite'. And to be sure The Netherbreed couldn't escape to the surface, the humans cloned dangerous de-extinct prehistoric wildlife to scatter across the land, sky, and oceans of earth so that no one could survive outside the domes or above the deep underground.
Through methods unknown to the people of the domes, humanity won the war against The Netherbreed. But now, the descendants of the survivors are barely getting by in the domes, while dangerous animals roam the earth.
Roger Crainsfield, a commander for a paramilitary group called Salvation, works undercover within a cult of child kidnappers called Lur. Roger is assigned by the cult to become the new 'Middleman' for an isolated village experiment of theirs they call Brabantia, built within a valley amongst Russia's freezing Southern Ural Mountains.
After some time gaining the trust of some of the victims within the village, Roger calls in a powerful strike team from Salvation to help him liberate the villagers, to put a stop to Lur's operations once and for all, and to get a lead on an ever worse cult called Prospect, who Roger has a personal vendetta against.
