Claya

Claya (one of the POV characters), a thirteen year old girl living in Brabantia faces extreme depression, anxiety, and amnesia, the latter of which is linked with her missing right eye and the deep scar along the side of her face associated with it. She is overworked by some of the villagers and can't seem to get a moment's peace in her daily life. But once the new Middleman, Roger Crainsfield appears, the village begins to change and Claya discovers (or perhaps rediscovers) what it means to be herself.
