Hey dinos! Been a while since I made a blog post. I got a little burnt out on the idea after having to rebuild my whole site from the ground up, but I'm really excited to show off all the art I've been doing lately!
This is Lennedy Foralette from Madelina, or just Fora. Read about her in the Story Chapters section on my blog page!
This is the most complete drawing I've done of her thus far, minus her outfit which I'm still not 100% on. I love the idea of her having little multi-colored orbs at the tips of her long eyelashes. Whether they're natural or were put there by her circus captors, I'm not sure yet.
I fucked up with this drawing and accidentally colored her ears the same color as her hair, but they're pretty standard pointy elf ears.
This piece is the first time I tried to draw Fora. It looks weird here because it's missing some layers, but I wanted to show another iteration of her without her outfit before...
I'm torn on whether or not she'd even keep wearing this outfit after she escapes the circus or if she'd hate wearing it and throw it all off. Either way, I love the idea of her wearing these sort of jester clothes. I don't like the way this iteration turned out ultimately, so I'm still experimenting...
In the first image right above this text, I wanted to put more of her personality into a drawing of her. I feel like the first image in this blog post did a poor job of that. She's a feisty little thing who swears a lot when she's upset and is very protective of natural things and animals (and Madelina). She also has a big appetite.
I think it would be funny if she refers to herself as "young and sexy", or something. My idea for the race of fairies in this world is that they live multiple hundreds of years, and Fora's age of around maybe 300 or something is equivalent to a human in their early twenties.
For her outfit, I'm hugely inspired by the artist shieriru. I love the way they draw transparent clothes over their fairy characters, and I wanna do the same thing with Fora. I still haven't nailed the design, but hopefully soon I'll figure it out. This piece in particular is also the main source of my inspiration for the jester look.
In the other pieces of her I've drawn so far, I haven't been able to show off how her hair collects at the back to a point, so I did that here. Inspired by Karai from TMNT 2012.

And this is a study I did of William and Patry from Black Clover. I learned a lot about values from this. I used to have a hard time understanding how greyscale works, but I feel like I have a better idea now.
These are a couple of Charmy drawings I did, also from Black Clover. These were a lot of fun, and I'm really happy with how I used lines to imply action in the second one.
I thought I would have more to say, but I guess art speaks for itself (in my case it's bad). I've been super addicted to drawing lately, and for the last couple days I've been especially fixated on drawing Fora. I'll come back with more posts when I have more of her to show off!
